Butec OTM by Troy is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) pain relief designed for general livestock procedures such as calf marking. Butec has proudly been developed and made in Australia in association with AWI, MLA and CSIRO.
Ingredients: 10 mg/mL MELOXICAM
Administration: Simply apply blue gel between the molar teeth and inside of the cheek
Use for up to 6 months after opening
Storage: Store below 30 degrees (room temperature) and protect from light.
Dosage:
Cattle: 0.5 mg/kg body weight (0.5 mL solution/10 kg)
Sheep: 1.0 mg/kg body weight (1.0 mL solution/10 kg)
Withholding Periods:
Cattle meat: Do NOT use less than 14 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Sheep meat: Do NOT use less than 10 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Milk: Do NOT use in lactating ewes or pregnant ewes within 10 days of lambing where milk or milk products may be used or processed for human consumption.
ESI cattle: Do not use less than 21 days before slaughter for export.
ESI sheep: Do not use less than 10 days before slaughter for export.
Restraints:
Do NOT use in lactating cows where milk may be used or processed for human consumption.
