Feeding Recommendations (kg/day):

| Light work | 1.2-2 | 1.5-2.5 | 2-3 |
| Moderate work | 1.5-2.5 | 2-3 | 3-3.5 |
| Heavy work | 2-3 | 2.5-3.5 | 3.5-4 |
The above table is a guide only and the amount fed should be adjusted according to the horse’s age, temperament, condition, bodyweight and workload.
Equibalance® should be mixed 1 to 1 with grain such as oats or can be fed with other grains like steam flaked barley for nervous horses or horses prone to tying up
Equibalance® can be fed as the sole feed for good doing horses
Feed a minimum of 1% body weight of good quality roughage in the form of pasture, hay or chaff
Equibalance® should be introduced slowly to the diet over 7 – 10 days
The amount fed should be divided into at least two feeds daily, with a maximum of 3kg of Equibalance® and grain per feed Reduce the amount of Equibalance® and grain fed on rest days
Supply a salt block to heavy sweating horses and extra electolytes if required eg KER Restore
Ensure clean, fresh water is available at all times
