For the treatment and control of fleas, ticks and gastrointestinal worms, and the prevention of heartworm disease in dogs and puppies

Each chew contains

  • 50 mg pyrantel (as embonate), 12mg sarolaner, 0.24 mg moxidectin

General Directions

  • To be administered orally once a month
  • Can be given with or without food
  • Safe in various breeds of dog across a broad weight range, when administered according to the dosage schedule
  • Safe for use in puppies from 8 weeks of age and weighing over 1.3 kg
  • During testing, no adverse reactions were observed when used with other treatments – may be administered in conjunction with vaccines, antibiotics, and corticosteroids when used according to label directions
  • Well tolerated in dogs when administered with macrocyclic lactone
  • Well tolerated in ivermectin-sensitive Collie dogs
  • The safe use of Simparica has not been evaluated in breeding dogs and pregnant or lactating bitches

  • Presented as a palatable, small chewable tablet
  • Liver flavoured

For the treatment and control of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and the treatment, control, and prevention of flea infestations 

  • Rapidly kills fleas within 4-8 hours of treatment
  • Breaks the flea life cycle by killing adult fleas before they can lay eggs – eliminating the risk of further environmental infestation
  • Can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD)
  • Persistent flea killing activity and protection for 5 weeks (35 days)

For the treatment and control of paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus) and brown dog ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus)

  • Kills paralysis ticks and brown dog ticks
  • Kills pre-existing paralysis tick infestations within 24 hours of treatment
  • Persistent tick killing activity and protection for 5 weeks (35 days)
  • In tick season, daily searching for, and removal of, any ticks found is recommended

For the prevention of heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis)

  • Administer monthly to prevent heartworm disease
  • Monthly treatment must continue throughout the year without interruption

For the treatment and control of gastrointestinal worms including hookworms (A. caninum, U. stenocephala) and adult roundworms (T. canis, T. leonina), including immature stages of A. caninum (L4, L5) and T. canis (L5)

  • Regular monthly administration treats and controls roundworm and hookworm, including larval stages
  • Decreases the risk of transmission to other pets

 

Dosage

  • Administer monthly
  • Chews should not be divided into smaller portions – select an appropriate chew size for the dogs body weight

For dogs over 60kg, use an appropriate combination of chews based on the dog’s body weight

Administration

  • For use in puppies from 8 weeks of age and weighing 1.25 kg or more
  • For oral use
  • Remove one chew from the foil-backed blister card at the time of monthly treatment
  • Offer to the dog as a treat – it is a highly palatable flavoured chewable tablet, so it is generally readily consumed by dogs
  • If the tablets are not taken voluntarily by the dog they can also be given with a small amount of food or directly into the mouth
