Cydectin® Long Acting Injection For Cattle High Concentration Injection For Cattle – 10% Moxidectin

ONE SHOT FOR SEASON-LONG PROTECTION
For treatment and control of moxidectin sensitive internal and external parasites in cattle. Persistent protection against Ostertagia spp. (Small Brown Stomach Worm) for 112 days and Haemonchus spp. (Barber’s pole worm) for 120 days. Prevents the development of viable cattle ticks for at least 51 days and prevents egg production for at least 65 days after treatment.

 

WHAT IS Cydectin® Long Acting Injection For Cattle?

  • Cydectin Long Acting for Cattle is a low volume (1 mL/100 kg) high concentration 10% Moxidectin injection.
  • Moxidectin has advantages for the control of parasites. It is both potent and persistent when compared to other drench actives.
  • Cydectin Long Acting for Cattle delivers 5 TIMES more drench active to the animal than commonly used injectable drenches.
  • A higher concentration of the active increases efficacy and leads to longer protection against parasites.
  • High efficacy and longer parasite protection has been shown to improve productivity.

Resistance can occur to any anthelmintic. Cydectin Long Acting Injection for Cattle can be used as part of a complete program. It can be used on the same day as Flukazole C or Oxfen LV to create a combination of actives against worms. COMPOSITION:

100 mg/mL Moxidectin

DOSAGE & DIRECTION:

1 mg moxidectin/kg liveweight (1 mL/100 kg liveweight).

Inject subcutaneously into the back of the ear towards its base.

Avoid intravascular (into a blood vessel) injection.

Do not underdose.

A maximum of 5 mL can be injected into one site. Hence, for cattle above 500 kg, half of the total dose volume should be injected into the back of one ear towards its base, and the other half of the total dose should be injected into the base of the other ear towards its base.
