STRIKER SPRAY-ON – Reliable Blowfly Protection for Sheep

Protect your flock with confidence using Striker spray-on, now available at Farmco. Designed to prevent flystrike caused by Lucilia cuprina (dicyclanil-susceptible strains), this ready-to-use treatment offers up to 24 weeks of protection for sheep of all wool lengths and life stages.

Effective Strike Prevention
Striker spray-on provides long-lasting protection against body, breech, and poll strike and is also highly effective in shielding mulesing and marking wounds during the healing process. Its advanced formulation delivers sustained defence, helping reduce the risk of flystrike and promoting animal welfare throughout the season.

Flexible Use for Any Wool Length
This product can be applied to sheep off-shears (within 24 hours of shearing), in short wool (1 day to 6 weeks post-shearing), or in long wool (more than 6 weeks post-shearing). Whether you’re managing ewes, lambs, or newly shorn sheep, STRIKER SPRAY-ON fits seamlessly into your fly control program.

Simple, Direct Application
Apply Striker spray-on straight from the container or a suitable backpack using the recommended applicator gun. Do not dilute or mix with other products. Always dose according to bodyweight and follow label diagrams for correct application.

Active Ingredient

  • Dicyclanil 50 g/L

Best Practice for Optimal Results

  • Avoid using in windy or gusty weather, as spray drift may reduce protection

  • Apply to clean, dry wool – significant soiling with dags, mud, or urine may impact efficacy

  • Light crutching is advised if dags are present

  • Scouring after treatment may reduce the protection period

  • Perform mulesing and marking during periods of low fly activity

  • Not recommended for use on sheep with dermatophilosis due to reduced effectiveness
