WSD Low Volume Combination 10L – Broad-Spectrum Parasite Control for Sheep and Lambs

WSD Low Volume Combination 10L is a highly effective oral drench designed to control a wide range of internal parasites in sheep and lambs. Available at Farmco, this broad-spectrum treatment targets both roundworms and tapeworms. It helps maintain flock health and boost productivity on Australian farms. Ideal for strategic parasite management, this 10-litre pack offers a cost-effective solution for large-scale sheep management.

Active Ingredients: Fenbendazole and Levamisole

This combination drench contains two powerful active ingredients:

  • Fenbendazole (50g/L): A benzimidazole (BZ) chemical that effectively targets a broad spectrum of internal parasites, including roundworms and tapeworms.

  • Levamisole (80g/L): An imidazothiazole compound that complements fenbendazole by targeting parasites resistant to benzimidazoles. It also works against various worm species.

Together, fenbendazole and levamisole provide a potent treatment. They tackle both mature and immature parasites. This reduces worm burdens and helps manage resistance issues common with single active ingredient drenches. Furthermore, the combination is effective against strains resistant to fenbendazole or levamisole alone. It also offers an alternative when resistance to macrocyclic lactone drenches exists.

Dosage and Administration

For best results, dose sheep and lambs at 1 ml per 10 kg of live bodyweight. Use accurate drenching equipment. Avoid fasting animals before treatment to prevent levamisole toxicity. When there is a wide weight range, group animals by size to ensure precise dosing. WSD Low Volume Combination is safe for pregnant and lactating sheep when used as directed. Always follow withholding periods carefully.
