Equimax® Elevation is a powerful, triple-active combination wormer designed to treat and control a wide range of equine parasites. This broad-spectrum paste effectively targets tapeworms, roundworms, bots, and skin lesions caused by parasites like Habronema and Draschia spp. (summer sores), as well as Onchocerca spp. microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis). Developed and manufactured in Australia, this product is specifically formulated to handle Australian conditions.
Equimax® Elevation is suitable for horses from 6 weeks of age, including foals, pregnant mares, and breeding stallions. The product is safe for use across all stages of horse development. Its unique formulation, combining ivermectin, praziquantel, and pyrantel, helps combat resistant strains of worms, including those that are resistant to mectin and benzimidazole (BZ) treatments.
The combination of ivermectin, praziquantel, and pyrantel in Equimax® Elevation provides a broad-spectrum anti-parasiticide. This paste controls all three species of tapeworm, roundworms, bots, lungworms, intestinal threadworms, and skin parasites (including summer sores and neck threadworms). Its double action against nematodes and tapeworms makes it highly effective, particularly in young horses under 2 years of age.
Equimax® Elevation helps delay the onset of resistance to anthelmintics by combining three active ingredients. This is especially important in young horses, who are more susceptible to parasitic infections, such as ascarids. The product is recommended for use in horses from 8-12 weeks of age, with a suggested treatment cycle of Equimax® Elevation in autumn and winter, alongside other products like STRATEGY-T during spring and summer.
